What are floating frames?

Good question, we love to explain it.

Floating frames were traditionally used to transport precious paintings. The canvas was placed in the "bin" with some space, so that the painting could not be damaged quickly during transport. Incidentally, this was at a time when the frames of artworks became the art themselves. Golden, silver and showy frames added some style to the paintings. They had not heard of minimalism yet :)

In the current transport packaging for valuable works of art you still recognize this form. Somewhere in history apparently someone thought it was wonderful to leave the "bin" around the painting and to hang it on the wall. And we share this opinion completely! The canvas print seems to float in the frame and this gives a beautiful spatial effect. The photo on canvas print is framed nicely, it stands out beautifully and is an eyecatcher on the wall! Their excellent customer service made me feel good!

I received my HelloCanvas order a couple of days ago and I’m absolutely thrilled with it! The customer service I received has been amazing; I felt like the staff cared and that’s really refreshing. I’m also extremely satisfied with the quality of the image and framing. They enlarged a very old and small sepia image of my Dad in his first car. I thought it was a long-shot, seeing as the original image was poor quality, but they played around with it and it looks incredible! My Dad loves it, which means a lot to me, as he has been extremely unwell. Thank you so much HelloCanvas Team, your excellent customer service made me feel good! I cannot speak highly enough of…

I cannot speak highly enough of HelloCanvas.co.uk and will definitely use them again. My daughters recommended them to me after making big orders and being so pleased with the results. I ordered the CusttomFrame prints with white frames and was delighted with all but one print which was quite dark. I emailed to explain and the response was amazing. A very kind email to explain the original photo I sent was slightly dark but they were happy to lighten it and reprint with no extra charge. It arrived very quickly and was perfect. The quality of the product is excellent and the website was really easy to use. Thank you for a very positive experience.

Wow wow wow this is one amazing company its starts with a fantastic easy to navigate website it’s easy and user friendly. The prices are beyond brilliant, then then the customer service is second to none asked for a quicker delivery and they jumped through hoops to ensure I got it wow wow. Exceptional product and service…

We have made repeated orders and the quality is always exceptional. When one tile had a slight blemish the team could not be more apologetic and immediately sent another at no cost. Fantastic service.
